Moxie Chic believes in sustainable fashion and our production and processes reflect our commitment to ecological and social justice.
Ink:We use genuine Brother GT-3, water based pigment inks. GT-3 inks are CPSIA compliant and Oeko-Tex™ certified, which means they are safe to print on youth/children’s clothing and reduce environmental waste. Also, GT-3 inks provide a high washing colorfast AATCC rating of 4. For art prints, we use Epson UltraChrome water based HDR ink-jet technology. The biodegradable vegan NeoPigment inks we use are water-based, toxin-free and non-hazardous. Our factories take care to dispose of any left-over ink according to supplier guidelines, so there is no harm to the environment.
Production: As a print on demand company, we minimize waste. Each product you see in our store is made on-demand—once you place an order, we produce it specifically for you. This allows us to avoid overproduction and textile waste, and we pride ourselves on being part of the sustainable fashion movement. Our clothing is printed with the direct-to-garment (DTG) printing method. The printing tech we use is made with sustainability in mind, and our DTG printers use almost zero wastewater and less energy, lowering our carbon footprint.
Production Facilities: We manufacture our products in facilities located in North America and Europe, based close to where our customers are. This means we can ship products faster and cut the shipping distances, resulting in less air and water pollution. Our facilities recycle (paper, cardboard, plastic, and batteries), and use energy-efficient LED lights in offices and fulfillment centers, and are always looking for new ways to save energy.
Garments: Moxie Chic only provides garments manufactured by sustainable suppliers that are committed to social responsibility with respect to (1) the environment (2) community engagement (3) labor empowerment and compliance practices and (4) product and quality assurance.
