Celebrating Trailblazing Women During Women's History Month

by Jennifer Bab on March 02, 2021

Moxie Chic is thrilled to recognize Women's History Month.  As part of our continuing commitment to celebrate and elevate women, we have been  regularly expanding (and will continue to expand) our Trailblazing Women's Collection this month. Please check back frequently and sign up for our newsletter (we will let you know when we release new collections that are now in the works)!  We hope you will join us in celebrating their and your accomplishments and power this month and beyond!

For those of you who want to know more about Women's History Month -- here's how it all started:

Women's History Month has its origins in International Women's Day -- a day celebrated annually and globally since 1911, honoring female achievement and advancement.  In 1981, Congress passed Pub. L. 97-28, authorizing the President to proclaim "Women's History Week" beginning on March 7, 1982.   Then in 1987, the Women's History Project petitioned Congress to extend that week celebration into an entire month celebration. It was successful; Congress passed Pub. L. 100-9 which designated the month of March “Women’s History Month” and we've been celebrating all month long during March ever since, honoring the contributions all women have made to the United States and recognizing the specific achievements women have made over the course of American history in a wide range of fields.
