May, 12 2020 - New York, NY - As COVID-19 ravages New York City, local brands are fighting back. Moxie Chic, an NYC-based feminist apparel brand that promotes empowerment for women and girls of all ages, has armored up alongside the American Red Cross to battle the pandemic by procuring much needed medical supplies and personnel, including PPE.
Moxie Chic, which was established in July 2019, and since its inception has given $1 on every product sold to organizations that support women and girls. However, in this tumultuous time, it has redirected its efforts to help in the fight against COVID-19. The brand is offering a 15% discount on entire orders for any customer who donates at least $5 to the American Red Cross to aid in the fight against the pandemic.
“I’m a New Yorker, I live here, I’m raising my family here and I love this city. I feel that it’s my duty to help those on the front lines of this pandemic,” said Jennifer Shurdut-Bab, Founder of Moxie Chic. “I chose the American Red Cross because it has been providing relief efforts for over 100 years, and I recognize the important part it is playing in helping to eradicate this virus from our city which needs help more than most -- and other cities and countries fighting the pandemic.”
